Indifferent Voters

"Indifferent Voters may believe that it doesn’t matter one way or the other who gets elected to the U.S. Senate. This is true, as long as a candidate from one of the two major parties keeps getting elected. The two major parties have stopped caring about the voters and sold out to special interests that fund their multi-million dollar campaigns. Your vote is of little value to them. They know that a majority will vote for either of the two major parties. The two major parties count on you voting for them by default.
Each time the government assumes a new power or begins to address a new problem, the influence of special interest groups becomes greater. The only way to break this cycle and begin making a difference when we vote is to break the monopoly held by the two major parties and significantly reduce the scope and power of government. Your freedom and liberty is too important to be taken over by the government and special interest groups."



I am constently confused by folks saying that they have to vote for either McCain or Obama on the grounds that "there has to be a change". Why is it believed that voting for either party is going to do anything except what "is" already. Most people are lazy when it comes to politics. They really have no clue what it is they are voting for or why. Until people take ownership and educate themselves, nothing will change. Until people stop voting for Republicans or Democrats, nothing is going to change.

Let’s take a look at how the NRA feels about Sen. John McCain.

In 2001, NRA President Wayne LaPierre said, “Is it possible that John McCain thinks you have too much freedom?” According to NewsMax, LaPierre was angry over advertisements McCain appeared in for Americans for Gun Safety, an anti-Second Amendment group who’s website now points to the Brady campaign, and McCain-Lieberman, a bill designed to close the so-called “gun show loophole.”

After appearing in the ads, the NRA called McCain, “one of the premier flag carriers for the enemies of the Second Amendment” and “the poster boy for Americans For Gun Safety.” Strong words.

By the way, McCain’s position hasn’t changed on the “loophole” issue.

As early as April of this year, NRA Executive Director Chris Cox told The Hill, “John McCain still has some work to do” to gain the trust of the NRA. Cox added, “Truth be told, he’s not there yet.”

In 2004, the NRA issued lifetime rankings of all members of Congress. Sen. McCain received a “C+”, indicating a mixed record on the Second Amendment.

Bob Barr has an “A+” lifetime rating from the NRA. Bob serves on the board of the NRA. His record on the Second Amendment is without question.

Given the fact that Wayne LaPierre and Chris Cox have exposed John McCain as an anti-gun sympathizer, we here at Bob Barr 2008 fully expect that the NRA will announce their support for Bob Barr tomorrow and run ads against both Sen. John McCain and Sen. Barack Obama.

This is what Racism does. It covers up, rationalizes and minimizes positive qualities in one candidate and emphasizes negative qualities in another, when there is a color difference. In 2008 some people cannot vote for a man simply because he is black.

Blind Morality lets us “Christian People” turn a blind eye to the morality, or lack there of - of a confirmed hot-head, adulterer, erratic lier, distorter of the truth and a thief. John McCain suffered greatly as a POW and characterizes himself as a hero. After 24 years in the Marine Corps I know for a fact that “real hero’s” don’t toot their own horn. Why is he hated by just about everyone who is involved in the POW/MIA organization?

Its a surreal comedy that ”good Christian” Americans are voting for John McCain and touting him as their “moral choice” for the leadership of the free world.

With America facing historic debt, 2 wars, 4000+ dead, countless thousands with permanent physical and mental scars, stumbling health care, a weakened dollar, all-time high prison population, mortgage crises, bank foreclosures, the middle class in crisis, lets not even mention the poor, etc. Just imagine, if the middle class can not afford gas and food; WHAT ABOUT THE POOR?

Now that the Republican Party is 11 points down in the latest polls, they have gotten even more negative and aggressive in their campaign. Why do politicians think that stuff works? Most Americans are so discussed with both parties. Why can’t we just realize that both parties are to blame?
